Killshot - Eminem ft. Learned Lady

Alrighty now, let's get down to brass tacks. The Abbot and the Learned Lady was so good! I would like to believe that if this was written in today’s world, this play would end up on Jimmy Fallon or some other show that loves satire. This woman got every stereotype thrown at her and just dodged the barrage of degrading statements. To every jab she had a freaking roundhouse kick of a question to rebuttal the abbots question. She took his “a ladies business is to have a good time” statement and probably made this man feel bad about every “good time” he’s ever had or plans to have.

I especially like how when the issue of him keep the monks ignorant so that they can’t speak up against false teaching was discussed. I thought that it was so funny and typical that he brushed the fact that his teaching conflicts with Paul and Peter’s teaching under the rug so promptly. He was getting himself out of that and he was not prepared to defend that argument. This man had to keep trying to change the subject from a woman's place, to good times, to monks reading, but regardless he is done for. When he dropped the “If wisdom came without hard work-” she said NOPE, and tore this man up. Killshot. Game over. I thoroughly enjoyed reading the satire, for more of how the educated woman was able to turn every question proposed to degrade her, into a second question further invalidating the points he was trying to make. This literature rips into gender roles and I’m about it.

P.s. I have no idea why my blogs read sideways. I haven't been able to figure that out yet.

P.s.s. I commented on Madison and Kayla's posts. :)
