Some Old Pretty Lady

So this lady is very pretty, we’ve established that. But just who is this girl? This book really the ground running with the whole speaking in very verse and then spending so much time describing this perfect woman. I read this kinda late, and I’m pretty sure a lot of the context is going right over my head; so please bear with me. She seems like someone really interesting, talking about how her forehead touched the the sky. Is that really a compliment?
So is this woman Philosophy, am I missing a metaphor? And then she sat this man on the couch and and started another song about circles that confused the mess out of me. Is this all metaphor and hyperbole, or is she just really weird and likes to make things complicated. There’s a lot of crying and weeping and sadness about the earth, okay but I’m really just missing the point. I’ll be glad when we can discuss this tomorrow in class and i can gather all the context for this book. I’m prepared to be roasted in the comments; proceed with the roasting.
