Still Confused

Again, I am a little confused. When I read book VI, which I am focusing my post on, There were so many things that I didn't understand the importance or significance of. For example, the golden bough, which had not been in any of the story up to this point, somehow ended up being something connected to the fate of Aeneas. Also, the whole heaven and hell thing, or I guess Tartarus and Elysium. I guess I'm just surprised that Aeneas's father ended up in heaven. There are plenty of other things I am confused about, so if anyone understands this book hit me up. Also a side note, Zelda said in her blog that she thought Sybil looked like Gollum off of Lord of the Rings. I keep thinking Sybil is the siren off of Vampire Diaries, if anyone even watched that.
