Mega-Powerful
I honestly didn't know what I was going to write this post on, but as I sat in my chair in my room listening to Elevation Worship sing of God's undeniable power, saying "Holy, Holy is the Lord, worthy to be praised," I couldn't help but write about the power of God. It's displayed throughout the readings, in places where He brings judgement, or He allows some other country to take over, or how He keeps the fire from burning Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, or how He keeps the loin's mouths shut for Daniel, and the list keeps going on and on and on. God is powerful. He is the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. He created everything by the sound of His voice, set time into motion with a thought, and died and rose Himself out of the grave to prove a point. Bottom line, He deserves our utmost respect and obedience.

God's power is amazing and beyond me. The complete sovereignty of God and just how in control He is over every situation is something I will never be able to comprehend. Similar to His complete control and contributing to His sovereignty is just how well He knows all of us individually and loves us regardless of our sin.
ReplyDeleteThe history of the Bible is incredible. God's incredible power is on display constantly. Israel's cycle of disobedience, regret, and redemption is the greatest example of God's power and love. It is also and example of promise. If mankind will only return to God and be obedient to His will, He will forgive and redeem. That is the history I choose to believe and that history is reality.
ReplyDeleteI agree. God is more powerful than we could even begin to comprehend. All of these divine acts of God in these stories display his almighty power, along with his mercy towards people.
