Just Keep Digging
I honestly kind of sympathize with Clytemnestra in this book. I think that she feels remorse for the murder of her husband and father of her children. However, I do think that she is a little messed up in the head. Iphigenia, I believe, is the favorite since her sacrifice ultimately leads to the murder of her father. I don't believe that she loved Orestes and Electra as much as Iphigenia, but that could also just be because they are both still alive and not considered a "sacrifice to the gods".
I can also see the side of Electra and Orestes, but I think they should have just left well enough alone. I think they kind of felt like they were only evening out the score by murdering their mother, but I also think that they messed up what fate would have taken care of. Since they already had the curse upon the house, Clytemnestra would have gotten what was coming to her, but at the same time, maybe the prophetic visions of her demise were exactly what was coming to her. Honestly, I think that putting too much thought into all of this just digs deeper and deeper into too many rabbit holes.
I commented on Josh's and Cody's.
