I'm writing this post on very little sleep and a pile of body aches. Prayers please.
Out of all of these little readings, the ones that really amazed were the Francis and Animals pages. Whether these stories are completely true or slightly exaggerated is beside the point. What is so awesome about these pages is the seemingly awestruck wonder that these animals have for God that they would praise him at the command or calls of this saint, or that a wild wolf could be reconciled to a community at the behest of this man. Francis was a nature conservationist of sorts releasing captured animals like a old-timey Steve Irwin, may the Crocodile Hunter rest in peace.
The captured animals show a sort of gratefulness that humans very seldom exhibit. It is unadulterated gratitude and relief. So here's my point.
Isn't this gratefulness the way we should react to the Savior? Despite our sinful nature, is it possible for humans to be like these animals are: thankful with no concern for what may come next. Or... Will we only find that way in the afterlife? Thoughts, complaints, concerns?
P.S. If I don't pass out first I will be commenting on Kayla and Grey's posts.

After all of the sins we commit every day, there is no doubt that we should be eternally grateful to such a merciful savior! I also laughed too hard at the Steve Irwin comment! This was a great blog no matter how tired you were, M!
