Book VI- Trey Hughes
My post will be on the topic of sin and determination and I will be referring to lines 185-190 on page 164. Sibyl is speaking to Aeneas when he is praying to Apollo and asking for guidance to his father. Sibyl warns him that the way down to the underworld is easy but coming back is more difficult. Even after hearing this he still persists in doing whatever it takes to talk to his father and even seeks for more signs (the golden bough) that he should travel there.
On the topic of sin and modern Christianity, I think this is applicable in that sinning is easy. Sinning is so much easier than following God but it's important that we don't. When a christian is actively pursuing God it isn't that difficult and it's easier to avoid sinning when we have that discipline. But in those moments where individuals fall into sin it becomes increasingly difficult to leave that rut and that difficult spot.
P.S. I commented on Breanna's and Phillip's post

Going off that last part got me thinking about a verse in Psalm 14. God is actively looking for those who are seeking Him regardless of who they are, where they live, or what they do. The smallest heart cry for the Lord results in action from Him. Our God is loving and compassionate not willing that any one person perish in unbelief.
