Land of Milk and Honey

In order to get to the right destination where the trojan refugees were destined to
settle they had to face several obstacles along the way. They had to deal with disease
, harpies, and monsters. Many people died along the way and they still had the
promise of a curse to deal with. The trojan refugees must have felt like giving up
several times when their loved ones died around them. They probably wondered why
they had to endure all the hardships in order to get to the land that was promised to
them. This reminds me of the Israelites wandering the desert. God promised the
Israelites that he would lead them to a land flowing with milk and honey, but along
the way, they had to suffer (mostly because of their own fault though). God let them
wander the desert for 40 years to teach them a lesson. God also lets us sometimes
endure hardships before he leads us to what he has promised us in order to teach
us a lesson. Sometimes it is the hardships that allow us to enter the land of milk and
honey.
